Going Bridal: Interfaith Relationships

When discussing marriage and relationships in general, you have to talk about the art of compromise and how to deal with different situations. Life is not always simple, you will have to go through things that are unexpected, yet these things will have a profound effect on you.

When you fall in love with someone, you are unaware of their cultural background and religious upbringing at first. I am currently in an interfaith relationship. An interfaith relationship is one which both parties follow two different religions. Many have said that this type of relationship can be hard on a couple because they will have to compromise on certain things. I have just experienced one of the major compromises I had to make; two wedding ceremonies.

My fiance just revealed to me, a week ago, that he would like to have a wedding ceremony based on his religious beliefs. He explained what the ceremony would consist of and what involvement I would have in the ceremony. I have to be honest, my initial reaction was "Hell no" but I remembered what he is doing for me. I had to learn how to compromise very quickly and accept what he wants. Its only fair that he gets to experience his traditional wedding ceremony too.

Are you in an interfaith relationship? Do you know how to compromise? Have you compromised before? Do you find it hard to compromise with your significant other?

Wedding Dress Shopping : Should I Go to a Bridal Salon or David's Bridal?

"Say Yes to the Dress" is a very popular show and I'm thinking about either going to Kleinfeld or another fancy bridal salon, for my wedding dress. I have to be honest, I want a fabulous wedding dress; just like any other bride. However, a fabulous wedding dress costs money.

David's Bridal now has wedding dresses designed by Vera Wang. I've seen some of  these gowns and I instantly fell in love. The cost of each of these gowns are significantly cheaper than one at a traditional wedding salon. Take a look at some of the Vera Wang for David's Bridal wedding dresses:

Vera Wang Dress Exclusively at David's Bridal
Another Vera Wang Dress for David's Bridal (This one is my favorite!)

Both of these dresses are $1200! This is amazing. What do you think?
